2025 BACK MOUNTAIN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AWARD WINNER!
Maternal Outreach for Health, Essential Resources and Supplies MOtHERS) is a post-partum care kit program offering low-income, post-partum mothers essential items to help recover from childbirth. Often times, mothers struggle to afford these items which can have a negative impact on mother and baby bonding, post-partum recovery and mental health.
This program will be available at a first-come-first serve basis and mothers will have to meet WIC Pennsylvania income requirements to participate. We will be providing two types of kits, specific to each type of childbirth (vaginal or c-section).
Like our other programs you must live within the areas that we serve as well as meet the income guidelines established by WIC Pennsylvania.
Our postpartum care kit program is open to individuals living in the following communities:
Back Mountain: Trucksville, Shavertown, Dallas, Harvey's Lake, Sweet Valley, Beaumont, Kunkle, Center Moreland, Noxen and Hunlock Creek
Wyoming Valley area: Exeter, Forty Fort, Harding, Kingston, Larksville, Pittston, West Pittston, Swoyersville, Wyoming and West Wyoming
To register for a postpartum care kit, you must visit our office to complete the necessary form, provide documentation/proof of income.
